Yasemin Acar is a prominent Kurdish activist from Germany
who served on the steering committee of the Global Sumud Flotilla, and a political organiser in Berlin.
She has been an activist since she was fifteen — for refugees, for human rights, against anti-Muslim racism.
Coming from a Kurdish family, she says resistance was never a choice but a way of life.
"Instead of seeking peace, we should strive for justice - because where justice exists, peace is assured."
Louna Sbou louna.toufa (she/they) is a cultural entrepreneur, curator and community organiser
whose work sits at the intersection of artistic practice, political education and social justice.
Educated in Law, Economics and Social Business in Germany and the UK,
her lived experience as a queer Amazigh Muslim informs their non-Western approaches to collective-making and leadership.
Louna is the co-founder and director of @oyounberlin,
a hybrid antidisciplinary hub dedicated to queer*feminist, decolonial and class-critical artistic practice.
Alongside inspiring speakers, we'll learn from one another, exchange experiences,
and explore together how we can strengthen our organising and build collective power for Palestine. Welcome ❤️
